Says Stella: "This collection is to provide a whole wardrobe, pieces that will stay with you for years because of the quality, and because, hopefully, they have a kind of timelessness." More images at Style.com.
Steve Jobs gets a write-up in The Guardian, not on the IPad, but on his consistent turtleneck and mid-blue Levi's. Read the article here.

Vogue Homme's fashion editor in chief surely knows how to wear a suit!

My favorite jewelry designer, Ligia Dias, has her bracelets on Natalie Portman on the current cover of Elle UK. Ligia will have an exhibition of her jewelry collections at Art Since the Summer of '69 in May. Make sure to put it in your calendar! Go to our website for more details.

Marianne Wakerlin, the Socklady, is the founder and owner of Sol Mate Socks. The company is named after her mom, Sunny, who taught Marianne how to knit. Marianne continued to knit for the next 40 years, but it wasn't until she started knitting socks that her real passion was born.
"I found it exhilarating, designing a pair of socks that didn't match and were knit in random patterns with multiple colors. I loved my finished socks!"
Within a few years Marianne had knit over one hundred pairs of socks for family and friends, and she decided to turn her hobby into a business. Her colorful and complex patterns are knit in the USA at a family owned knitting mill, hand finished and mismatched.
The company is run from the Socklady's home in central Vermont, surrounded and inspired by the woods, brook, gardens and hills of the countryside.

Jim Drain is an awesome artist living in Miami. His art work, usually sculptures and big installations, is all about knitting and textiles, which he shows sometimes at Greene Naftali gallery in New York. Now you can own an artwork by Jim which is also wearable! He has made the sweaters above, and more, thirty of each (limited edition), which are available now at Opening Ceremony.

Ludwig von Truffle is living at Art Since the Summer of '69 (we have an opening on Sunday, please visit!), when he's not at home with my gallery colleagues Fabienne Stephan and Paul Aymar Mourgue d'Algue. Ludwig is not only super cute, he is super fashionable, and loves to stack on as many clothes as possible. On top he's dressed in a scarf knitted by Fabienne, on the bottom in a dragon suit bought at Jack Spade, playing with flowers flown in by me from Harrods in London.

The starting point of all of Peter Jensen's collections is always one female muse. This season his woman of choice is American artist Laurie Simmons. Jensen made doll-size versions of his designs to be worn on model cut-outs, imitating poses from 60s and 70s fashion magazines; these were then photographed by Simmons in dollhouse surroundings. More on the collection here. More on Laurie Simmons here.

For the basics, J.Crew is one of the best. New items arrived in stores and online yesterday, some of my favorites being these ballet flats with dots, the carry-all, and the Sperry Top-Sider boat shoes, which they've got in metallic too. And an Ebbets Field Flannels NY ball cap on top! Go to J.Crew to buy.

Lanvin is 120 years! Like Jeanne Lanvin (the founder of the brand) some years ago, Elbaz honor mothers and daugters with fun and elegant drawings on tee-shirts, bags and a range of objects, such as pads, music boxes, paperweights, and porcelain figurines. Go here for more.
Repetto Velvet Confetti ballerinas and Lanvin raffia and satin sandals, definitely on my wish list for Spring! Elbaz' capsule collection of dresses and t shirts soon to come, also on my list of favorites. Buy the shoes at Colette.
